We start with long wide rolls of clean 100% handwoven cotton as our canvas. The designs are created either by drawing dots and lines of wax with a spouted tool called a tjanting (tulis style), or by printing wax with an ornate copper stamp called a cap (tjap style). Our batiks are family made with help from other families in the north and southeast of Java. Together, we are preserving the tradition of timeless wearable art.
